This article is called Am I Saved Forever How Can I Know?  Can I fall from God’s Grace and be lost? If I sin will God take away my Salvation? I will admit, these are some  of the most important questions any human can ask. We are all mortals and eventually we will all die. The grave does not end our existence. I think the real question is, not when we will leave this earth, but what will be our destination. Our life here on earth is but a short time, compared to eternity. Way to many people think, you are born, you live then die and that is the end of your existence. I want to plainly say, death is not the end of your existence. You only bury or dispose of a human body, the soul and the spirit is eternal and lives on, in one place or another.

WHAT IS ETERNAL SECURITY FOR CHRISTIANS

What I am talking about is called “THE ETERNAL SECURITY OF THE BELIEVING CHRISTIAN.” To be a Christian means that you are a believer in Jesus Christ and He has become your personal Lord and Savior. It means that you have accepted Him into you heart and life and been forgiven of sin. It means that you recognize that He paid the ultimate price by His death on a cross, as the only true payment for sin on the cross. Let me explain this so no one will misunderstand. Every person ever born has eternal life, and will spend eternity in one place or another. For the Christian that place is God’s heaven, for the lost unbeliever, that place is Satan’s Hell. Many people, even Christians do not know what God is like, I mean his attributes, so I am posting a link to another article that I wrote in August 2015 for understanding. IS GOD PLEASED WITH YOU.

Let me try and give you a definition of eternal security. I happen to agree with Dan Starcevich of Mountain View Bible fellowship. Estes Park, Colorado. He states: “The Eternal security of the believer is an objective work of God that ensures that once the gift of salvation has been received it cannot ever be lost. Let’s analyze this definition. It is an objective work. By this I mean that eternal security is not based on or influenced by one’s subjective feelings or opinions.” This is a work performed by GOD ALONE in the life of every Christian, and so is God’s Salvation. This is a work of God, once the gift of Salvation has been received, and it can never be lost. To doubt this means you believe the blood of Christ, His sacrifice for your sin, His death burial and resurrection is NOT sufficient, to keep you saved. Eternal Security is the work of God ensuring that “the gift of Salvation is NEVER LOST.”

WHY ARE CHRISTIANS ETERNALLY SECURE

Now this is a very deep question and a question many Christians have not yet realized so I have to explain it. Lets go back to the beginning in the garden of Eden. We see the creation of mankind and the fall of humanity. Genesis 2:7 “ And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” now verse 21-23 “²¹ And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;²² And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.²³ And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Here we have the creation of mankind. God Himself breathed the breath of Life into mankind and mankind became a living soul. do you not realize that God’s breath of life is ETERNAL? At this point mankind, humans became eternal.

If you know the Bible then you know the story of the fall of mankind through “SIN.” Satan deceived Eve but what Adam did was deliberate. Why did Adam do that, he was not deceived? Here is why. Eve was his help mate, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. Eve was formed from Adams rib, Eve was his only kind, now Adam was going to lose her. What had God said? Genesis 2:18 “⁸ And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” We know from scripture that Satan was a created being. Satan had been kicked out of heaven with one third of the angels that followed him. Satan wanted to be worshipped and set his own throne above Gods. So yes Satan wanted to destroy God’s creation especially mankind. But it goes even further. Genesis 1:26-28 ” ²⁶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”  PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY. ADAM AND EVE WERE CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD (GOD IMAGINE IN MANKIND). GOD GAVE MANKIND DOMINION AND CONTROL OVER THE EARTH. GOD BLESSED THEM AND SAID BE FRUITFUL, MULTIPLY AND REPLENISH. 

GOD GAVE TO MANKIND WHAT HE NEVER GAVE TO SATAN AS AN ANGEL. SATAN WAS CREATED, HE WAS NEVER MADE IN GODS IMAGE. SATAN WAS NEVER GIVEN DOMINION AND CONTROL,BY GOD OVER CREATION. SATAN NEVER HAD THE ABILITY TO REPLENISH HIS KIND. SATAN WAS NOT ALLOWED TO RULE IN HEAVEN BUT NOW GOD HAS GIVEN MANKIND THE ABILITY TO RULE OVER GODS CREATION. MANKIND WAS GIVEN “FREE WILL” (THE ABILITY TO CHOOSE). IF MANKIND HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN FREE WILL THEN MANKIND WOULD HAVE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO CHOOSE ANYTHING. I HOPE A LIGHT JUST CAME ON IN YOUR MIND.

HERE ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF MANKIND AND SATAN. HERE IS NOW GODS PLAN FOR REDEMPTION AND SALVATION. GENESIS 3: 14-17″¹³ And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.¹⁴ And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:¹⁵ And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (HERE IS WHERE GOD FIRST PROMISED A SAVIOR WHO WOULD FIX THE SIN PROBLEM AND BRING MANKIND BACK TO HIM.SIN SEPARATED US FROM GOD).

¹⁶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.¹⁷ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;”

Dear Reader, God gave up on the “FLESH” in the garden of Eden. Romans 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.” Our flesh was and is polluted, vile and sinful in Gods eyes. So God said, I Corinthians 15:50 “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” Adam and Eve were both CREATED, not BORN. But OUR humanity has been BORN as sinners ever since. Psalm 51:5 ” Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” I John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Because everything in the world, the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but of the world.

Let me explain something. I love kids and I see parents with a new born showing it off,  and even UGLY BABIES are precious. Now there is the terrible 2’s and the horrible 3’s. Let this little bundle of joy start crying and they will scream like they are dying. The parents run over, grab them and pick them up and they instantly stop screaming. The little bundle of joy is a “LIAR.” The real problem was they wanted to be spoiled and held. HA HA Now that was funny.

Now when they reach ages 2 or 3 and you tell them not to do something, they will stand there and stomp their foot at you and say, “NOOOOOO.” Can you tell me how they learned that?? It is inherited from mom and dad and is natural for the FLESH, which goes all the way back from the original Dad and Mom, Adam and Eve.

IS GOD STUPID? IS SATAN MORE POWERFUL THAN GOD?

I guess this is a shocking question for some people. The answer is “ABSOLUTELY NOT. All the way back to the garden of Eden Satan did not win. I am going to explain why Satan did not win and will not win. You have to remember that Satan hates God and everything created by God. In reality Satan wants to be superior to God but that will never happen. I asked the question, Is God stupid and is Satan more powerful then God. Have you not realized yet that Satan thought he could win a big victory over God by ruining God’s Creation? As I keep saying God gave up on humans Flesh in the Garden of Eden, because it was now sinful. So what happens to the flesh? Romans 6:23 ““For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Sin is why we die.

We humans are funny creatures. We consist of a body, a soul and a spirit. Our body is “world conscious” our soul is “self conscious” and our spirit is “GOD CONSCIOUS.” Our body being sinful will never enter heaven because it is sinful, polluted and weak. Our body (flesh) could never stand in Gods presence nor last throughout eternity. This is why we will be given a new glorified body at the rapture of the church. Philippians 3:21 – Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

When we are saved by Gods Grace and accept the sacrifice for sin that Jesus paid for us, we become new creatures IN CHRIST. He become our Lord and Savior. II Corinthians 5:17 “¹⁷ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This is called the second birth, “A SPIRITUAL BIRTH,”  OF OUR SPIRIT (not of the flesh). John 4:24 ““God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” Second birth of the Spirit comes directly by GOD’S SEED. I JOHN 3:9 “⁹ Whosoever is BORN of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he CANNOT sin, because he is born of God.” So if you have been saved, born again and are in Christ then you CANNOT SIN. Now someone right now is saying, Oh No, I must not be saved because I still sin, and fight the devil all the time. Let me explain please. What part of you, did God save” IT IS A SPIRITUAL BIRTH (NOT THE FLESH). It is your SPIRIT that comes to life and makes you a new creature in Christ. Satan can fight, tempt influence the body, but he HERE IS WHAT GOD SAYS:

Now someone is going to come along and cry “HERETIC.” They will say, You just said that you do not sin or cannot sin. No, that is not what I am saying. We all face the world, the flesh and the devil. I do sin so let me tell you the sins I hate the most? THE SINS I HATE THE MOST ARE THE SINS THAT I COMMIT.

I John 1:9 says, “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I am saying the Holy Spirit lives inside and His job is too reprove sin and keep us close to the Savior. I am not teaching mans perfection because we do not have any perfection.

You, me or anyone are only ACCEPTED AND ETERNALLY SECURED IN CHRIST,  BECAUSE CHRIST PAID OUR SIN DEBT. Only on that basis are ANY OF US accepted by the Father. I am so glad that we are SEALED by the Holy Spirit. Let me put it this way Please. Our first birth from mom and dad, in the flesh is born in sin. Our second birth, spiritual birth, born of God was not sinful, like our physical birth.

Ephesians 1:13 “ In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,”  Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Those who trust in God for Salvation bear the seal of God which is the HOLY SPIRIT living in us. THANK YOU, GOD. Satan cannot break this seal, sin cannot break this seal and I cannot break this seal. IF YOU THINK THAT SATAN CAN DO AGAIN TO CHRISTIANS WHAT HE DID IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN THEN YOU NEED TO RE-THINK, ABOUT THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, JESUS AND GOD THE FATHER.

Dear Reader knowing this HOW COULD I NOT BE ETERNALLY SECURE IN GOD? Please read these verses, :Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Verses 38-40 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

CONCLUSION  

Satan has no ground to stand on in condemning you after you have been saved. You are signed, sealed and delivered already by God. Jesus came to earth, died and paid the sin debt for us. He did what we could never do for ourselves and THAT WAS PLEASE GOD. Just as Jesus had to explain to Nicodemus in John Chapter 3 that he being a religious man needed a spiritual birth. I want to leave this link here about ETERNAL SECURITY that you will really enjoy. The bible says that God cannot lie, He saves us, keeps us and will deliver us home to Himself in heaven. We are eternally secure in Christ,                                               

If I were not a Christian I would bow my head right now and Ask Jesus to come live in my sprit, give me the second birth that will get me to heaven, I would realize that I mess up and make mistakes (the Bible calls that sin) and I would ask God to save me from the eternal consequences of sin. SIMPLY PUT: Lord Jesus forgive me for my sins, come and save me, live inside of me-I need you. Thank you for dying for me on the cross. AMEN.
