A WORLD OF IDOLS THAT WILL BURN

This article is called, “A World Of Idols That Will Burn.” Our world lives in a complete life style of Idols and craves more. People are never satisfied with what they have, and only crave more and more. Money, power and more things is their goal in life.  People get all they can, can all they get, then sit on the can.” I hope you do understand that last statement. Buy, Buy, Buy and sell. Get more. People of this world are never satisfied with what they have. But, Dear Reader, what ever you have will never go with you, when you leave this world. “I HAVE NEVER SEEN A HEARSE GOING TO THE GRAVEYARD PULLIING A U-HAUL.”

King Solomon in the Bible was probably the riches man that ever lived. He was the third King of Israel and the last King of the United Kingdom of Israel. What Solomon did caused the “SPLIT” of the united Kingdom. He was even richer, than the billionaires of today, and his knowledge and wisdom greater than anyone who ever lived. Now he was crying about before he died, so let me quote what he was crying about. Ecclesiastes, Chapter 2, Solomon said 34 timesI” got this and I got that. I did this and I did that. At that time it was all about “HIM” and he did anything to satisfy himself.

ANYTHING YOU PUT BEFORE GOD IS AN IDOL

verses 8-10 “I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts. So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me. 10 And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.” Solomon concluded that all of it was “VANITY AND VEXATION OF SPIRIT.

Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. These women (not transgenders), were given to Solomon by leaders of other nations as gifts. No nation wanted war with Solomon. They wanted peace treaties. Solomon had great ships of war and a great navy. He also a great army for defense. Solomon never had to fight one battle or one war with anyone. People were amazed at the wisdom and knowledge God had given Solomon. All the plates and tableware were pure gold.

Solomon had built the first Temple in Jerusalem and it was totally magnificent. And so was the dedication service of Gods’ Temple. Now God would truly dwell with His chosen people. HERE IS A GREAT DOWNFALL. Remember all of these wives Solomon had? These were pagan women who had pagan gods and practices of false religions. All around the hills of the great temple of God, Solomon “ALLOWED”  these strange wives to build “ALTARS” to their false gods, and allowed them to worship their false gods at those altars. What was Gods’ first commandment in the 10 commandments? “THOU SHALL NOT HAVE ANY OTHER gods BEFORE ME.” Yet here was God’s Temple sitting below these altars to false gods. Who had blessed Solomon and gave him all that he had or could ever hope for or wanted?

I normally post a video at the end of each article. But I choose to post this short 8 minute video right here. I think it will be more beneficial at this point and will help clarify this article. Understand how the worship of “IDOLS” will be at then end of this world and at the return of Jesus Christ. So here is the link please click on it.

VANITY OF VANITIES

This was the cry of Solomons life coming to an end. Solomon used the word Vanity 34 times in Ecclesiastes. This was his own conclusion of his life. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” If you look for the meaning and purpose of life without God, you will only find frustration, agony and confusion. Solomon speaks of those times when life seems empty and does not make sense.  Only through a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ will you understand your true purpose and destiny in life. Are you living your life in vain with no real meaning? Are you just going along with the worldly flow” I Kings 11 tells why God took the Kingdom away from Solomon. 10 tribes of Israel went to Solomon’s enemy but only 1 tribe went to Solomons son for David’s sake not for Solomons sake.

When God is real in our lives he becomes the source of meaning and purpose in life. He created all of us for this purpose. Solomon could not find that meaning and purpose without God. And all of the riches in the world he had could not fulfill it, or give his life true meaning. I wrote a pervious article here called, What is the meaning of life.” In that article I stated, You will find the true meaning of life in your love.” God demonstrated this by showing His love for mankind by sending Jesus to suffer and die for our sins, that we might be forgiven and saved from sin forever. John 3:16-18).

II Peter 3:10-13 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” In the end and the end of life every thing not connected to God, and every “IDOL” will burn. That is what God says here. And Solomon called it VANITY OF VANITIES. ONLY ONE LIFE WILL SOON BE PASSED, ONLY WHATS DONE FOR CHRIST WILL LAST.

CONCLUSION

Dear Reader, my goal in writing this article is not to bash King Solomon. God is his judge and my judge and your judge. God allowed us to see the entire situation and showed us even how the best at heart can fall and mess up. Unfortunately, there are consequences for all of us. Solomons consequences were severe and affected not just his family but Kingdoms. If you read the book of Ecclesiastes you will see where Solomon felt and saw himself as a failure and I believe he never got over it. God says, I John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

Christians are not perfect people they just have a perfect Savior. Christians are not perfect people they are just forgiven. I asked a pastor friend of mine a serious question. I said, “Do you know what sins I hate the most? He said, No, which one? I said, the sins I hate the most are the ones “I COMMIT.” It blew him away and he said, I never really thought about that, but it is true.”

Satan is always willing to shove your own sins in your face, and beat you up with it forever.  He says, Remember when you did this? Remember how bad you have failed God. You been too bad and God will never forgive you, you are a joke and total failure, you are not even a Christian. And I believe that is exactly what Satan did to Solomon. ABOVE ALL STAY IN GOD’S WILL AND LISTEN TO HIM.

Satan will always feed your hurt and pain, but God will forgive it, save you and make you His Child, if you let Him. God sent His only begotten son (JESUS) to pay for all sin so we could be accepted by him. II Corinthians 5:21 “For he (GOD)  hath made Him (JESUS) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” This is the message of SALVATION through Jesus, death, burial and resurrection.

Jesus died and paid for our sins; He had no sin of his own. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” This is God’s free gift of eternal life with him and the forgiveness of all sin.

Let’s be honest here for a moment. Go look in the mirror and tell me the person you see has never said, thought or done anything wrong. We all know better than that. That is known as sin in God’s eyes and that is what will put you, me or anyone in hell. Jesus died and paid for ALL sin; he is the only one who ever pleased God. Right now, you decide who and where you will spend eternity, heaven or hell. Romans 10:13 says, “For who so ever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” WE LIVE IN A WORLD OF IDOLS AND THEY WILL ALL BURN. AN IDOL IS ANYTHING YOU PUT BEFORE GOD.

Will you turn from yourself and turn to God? Will you bow your heart right now and (ASK) call out to God and ask for forgiveness? Will you receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life as your own personal Savior. If you do you will be saved and forgiven instantly and become God’s child (not Satan’s). If you have prayed and ask God for forgiveness, and Salvation, please let me know in the comment section so that I may be able to rejoice with you.
