This article is called, The Very Good Creation.” Does this mean this is the very best creation of all time? I do not think so. I say this because I know what God tells us and what our next creation by God is going to be, if you know him in the free pardon of sin and have been, saved, and born again by a spiritual birth. Lets look and see where the very good creation started. When God made our present heaven and earth He declared that it was very good. But He has told us in Revelation chapter 21 there will be a new heaven and a new earth, where sin does not exist, so that will be the greatest of all.
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good” (Genesis 1:31 KJV) affirms that God observed His creation and found it complete, perfect, and pleasing.
Context of Genesis 1:31 Our Beginning
Genesis 1:31 occurs at the conclusion of the six days of creation. After creating the heavens, the earth, plants, animals, and humanity, God surveyed all that He had made and declared it “very good”, signifying the perfection, order, and harmony of creation (Genesis 1:31 KJV) This verse emphasizes that God’s work was complete and fully aligned with His divine purpose. The phrase “evening and the morning were the sixth day” marks the completion of the creation week, culminating in the creation of man in God’s image, KJV
Theological Significance
God’s Approval and Satisfaction: By seeing that all He had made was very good, God demonstrates His satisfaction with creation, highlighting His wisdom, power, and intentionality.
Order and Completeness: The verse reflects the completeness of God’s creative work. Commentaries note that God’s observation is likened to a craftsman reviewing his work, showing the excellence and perfection of all He created (Bible Study Tool).
Humanity’s Role: Humanity, created on the sixth day, is part of this “very good” creation,” entrusted with stewardship over the earth and its creatures, reflecting God’s image and purpose for mankind (KJV).
Foundation for Rest: The declaration of goodness precedes God’s rest on the seventh day, establishing the principle of Sabbath and the sanctity of completion in God’s work (Genesis 2:2-3 KJV).
Spiritual Reflection
This verse encourages believers to recognize the inherent goodness in God’s creation and to appreciate the order and purpose in the world. It also underscores that God is aware of all He has made, affirming His omniscience and care for creation (KJV). The repeated affirmation of “very good” highlights that creation is not only functional but also morally and aesthetically aligned with God’s will.
Genesis 1:31 KJV teaches that God observes, approves, and blesses His creation, providing a model for humans to value, steward, and reflect the goodness of God in their own lives. Understand that you are part of something that God created and called “GOOD.” But sin marred this, but did not completely destroy it.
WHAT GOD CREATED WAS GOOD AND VERY GOOD
Genesis 1:31 “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” Humans have this great need to improve on everything God has made. Dear Reader, you cannot improve on what God has created. It is a human ego problem in wanting to improve on Gods Creation. Go back to Genesis and read how Nimrod just had to try and improve on what God had created, (EGO) Humans really do have a great desire to try and improve God or be equal with God. Now go back and read the fall of Satan and one third of the angels that followed him.
Dear Reader please listen to this. Our earth as we know it is going to be destroyed by humans and Satan. That is their creation of sin and its consequences. In the very end after the rapture of the church, the 7 year tribulation, the thousand year millennium, after the great white throne judgment, Satan, the beast and false prophet have already been thrown in the lake of fire forever. After all sin and its affects on mankind, God burns up this sin cursed work and created a new heaven and earth where no sin shall ever abide. Read Revelation 21:1-5.
Mankind likes to take something that God has already created, tinker with it, thinking they are a creator, and just made something new. No one has ever invented anything out of nothing, they must take and use something that God already created. Then they pat themselves on the back and think they really are a creator. Just wait and see where humans Pride and Arrogance, gets them in the end.
CONCLUSION
We know the world we live in was created very good according to God our creator. We also know that sin, Satan, Adam and Eve, polluted Gods’ Creation. We also know from God’s Holy Word how hell had already been created for Satan and the fallen Angels who rebelled against God in heaven and brought in “SIN” with all of its consequences, not just on themselves but ALL Mankind. ALL Sin is against God our Creator. Is there one particular sin that will send you to hell? YES THERE IS. AND IT IS THE REJECTION OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE PAYMENT FOR SIN, THAT HE MADE FOR YOU. Romans 1:18-20, Romans 1:23-25, John 3:17-18.
At Salvation God makes you a new person SPIRITUALLY, in Christ. it is also calle the new creation. Here is the biggest question and most important question, that you will ever be asked in your life. DO YOU PERSONALLY KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS YOU OWN PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR, THROUGH A NEW SPIRITUAL BIRTH? The answer to this question will determine where you will spend eternity, either in heaven with Jesus, or with Satan in hell.Salvation by God alone, will get you t0o heaven, so called salvation by any man or church, will send to to hell, it is that simple. Willyou turn from yourself and turn to God for forgiveness and Salvation?
Will you put your faith and trust in Jesus for Eternal Salvation? Will you bow your heart, and call upon God. I Corinthians 10:13 says, “For who so ever shall call (ASK) upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” I promise you on the authority of God’s word, that he will save you, forgive you and make you, His child. HE IS THE SUPREME AUTHORITY WHO POSSESSES ALL POWER AND HAS ALREADY SHOWN HIS ETERNAL LOVE TO YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD. God’s Righteous, eternal love, change your life, and save your soul eternally. II Corinthians 5:21 “For he (GOD) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Our morality is like filthy rags to God. Stained with SIN AND IMMORALITY. GOD CHANGES THAT FOR US WHEN YOU COME TO HIM. LET HIM MAKE YOU CLEAN. WHAT DO YOU TRULY DESIRE DEAR READER?
