Dear Reader, This is an article I have to post and comment on. It is called “Christians Find Out Jesus Was Woke And Are Now in Crisis.” by Russell Moore. I will tell you now that Jesus was never what mankind calls “WOKE” but I understand why Mr. Moore used the term. So, who is he? He was a once-prominent figure within the Southern Baptist Convention, has raised deep concerns regarding the current trajectory of Christianity in the United States. Moore has voiced apprehensions about what he perceives as a «crisis» within Christianity itself. This story is by Alec Donaldson, of “OPlaneta.”

In an interview with NPR, he shared his own experiences and anecdotes from various pastors who have encountered challenges due to the impact of the present political climate on their spiritual roles. The Sermon on the Mount, a revered doctrine from the Gospel of Matthew, has stood as a foundational pillar of Christian moral principles for generations.
“Liberal Talking Points”
Moore highlighted that some individuals are now questioning the authenticity of these teachings and dismissing them as «liberal talking points.» Even when pastors directly quote Christ, their words often encounter doubt. Moore expressed, «When the teachings of Jesus himself are perceived as disruptive, it signifies a state of crisis. »
The Teachings Are Essential
Within the Sermon on the Mount are essential elements of Christian doctrine, including the directive to «turn the other cheek» – a clear endorsement of forgiveness. Moore cautioned that if these teachings are considered irrelevant, it could lead to a significant shift in the understanding and application of Christianity in the United States.

WOW. In reality, there should be real tears. In 1975 I was saved, born again and washed in the blood of Jesus, and became a Christian. I was baptized in a Southern Baptist Church and joined it. I was Southern Baptist for 6 years until I took a job in another city and moved there. Now, I joined an Independent Missionary Baptist Church with no Organizational ties. You cannot blame all Southern Baptist people, because of what their organization and clergy did. Neither can you blame every Catholic for what their organization and clergy did in sexual abuse. There should never be any reproach on the name of Jesus Christ.
So, who is Dr. Russel Moore? Why would he say this? He had been President of the Southern Baptist for a long time. He and his wife left, and he took a job with “CHRISTIANITY TODAY” Organization. They had their magazine that I use to read for years, and now they are also on the internet. He is now editor in chief of Christianity Today.
I always respected the Southern Baptist because their doctrine was Biblical, and they preached the truth. Their Southern Baptist Convention is always a yearly event. Now they have lost half a million members. Experts say declining church membership, hardly limited to the Southern Baptists, reflects several social forces, including to varying degrees the disruptions of the pandemic, suspicion toward authority, the mingling of religion with partisan politics and widespread spiritual yearnings that churches sometimes fail to satisfy. THAT IS NOT THE REAL REASON.
CAN YOU SAY SCANDAL?
The Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee – and thousands of its rank-and-file members – now have opportunities to address a scathing investigative report that says top SBC leaders stonewalled and denigrated survivors of clergy sex abuse over two decades while seeking to protect their own reputations.
The report, issued Sunday, says these survivors, and other concerned Southern Baptists, repeatedly shared allegations with the Executive Committee, “only to be met, time and time again, with resistance, stonewalling, and even outright hostility from some within the EC.”
The seven-month investigation was conducted by Guidepost Solutions, an independent firm contracted by the Executive Committee after delegates to last year’s national meeting pressed for a probe by outsiders. The Executive Commitee hid everything. This Is the Southern Baptist Apocalypse
The nation’s largest Protestant denomination has fallen in disgrace. Let’s be fair here, I have seen this before and I think you have so let me remind you. Have you forgotten when Pope Benedict resigned, and Pope Francis became Pope? The real reason Benedict resigned was not his age, but the scandal of perverted priest and clergy their pedophiles actions within the Roman Catholic church. This hurt and devasted Roman Catholic church members. Benedict could not handle it and did not want to hide it.
Pope Francis took over. He changed the “CURIA“, fired priest and clergy. Investigated their mishandling of money and set about to “REFORM” the entire system. It is still a progressive work in progress. I have known my sister in Christ, Lyn, for over 10 years. She had been Catholic her whole life. I was blessed and won her to the Lord, 10 years ago. I know this still hurt her deeply and I really hated it not just for her, but for all Catholics. Do you not think it hurt the Lord?
THIS WILL NEVER STOP
I say this because no Religion and no denomination is immune from sin and perversion. This has occurred in every culture and every civilization that ever lived. (SATAN LOVES IT). Now we live in a world where all immorality has become the new acceptable standard. Moral and biblical standards have and are being changed fast. And Christians are persecuted and not accepted or wanted along with God. God’s standards are not wanted or acceptable.
I said, “THIS WILL NEVER STOP.” Why? Because it has never stopped even until today. Let’s see what Paul the Apostle said about this. Romans 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing; for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good, I find not. NO ONE WILL EVER BEAT AND CONQUER THE DESIRES OF THEIR OWN FLESH. Romans 8:8 – So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:6 – For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. WHAT IS THE FLESH? Romans 8:5 “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Your flesh can only please you, not God, because it is sinful and we ALL SIN. And that includes Christians, Catholics, Southern Baptist and EVERYONE.
Here is really a sad part. The world looks at Christians and says, “what is the difference in us and them? We do not hide what we do, and we do not claim to serve God.” I think the world forgets there are consequences for what the lost and Christians both do. Maybe the world does expect to see more morality out of Christians. Here is something lost and saved need to memorize. SIN WILL TAKE YOU FARTHER THAN YOU WANT TO GO. SIN WILL KEEP YOU LONGER THAN YOU WANT TO STAY. AND SIN WILL COST YOU MORE THAN YOU WANT TO PAY-CONSEQUENCES FOR EVERYONE. CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PERFECT PEOPLE; THEY JUST HAVE A PERFECT SAVIOR. CHRISTIANS ALSO LIVE IN A BODY OF SINFUL FLESH, JUST LIKE EVERYONE. CHRISTIANS CAN BE FORGIVEN; DO YOU WANT TO BE?
CONCLUSION
What is there in this life is so important that it keeps you away from God and eternal bliss and Salvation? Please think of that. Since our creation, from Genesis chapter 3, the problem has always been about the SIN issue. God Himself took care of the SIN issue Himself by providing the payment and sacrifice of his only begotten son JESUS to die and pay for “OUR SINS.” God accepted that payment for all sin for everyone who would accept Jesus’ payment. Jesus restored our relationship with God through His own death and sacrifice of His own blood. Your choice is simple: “ACCEPT OR REJECT GODS’ FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS.” John 3:16
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” That means call on God for forgiveness (ASK-GOD). Do you realize how much you truly need a Savior? God will save you from sins, self, Satan and hell. He will give you an eternal home in heaven. I ask you to turn to God. Jesus said in John 6:37 “THAT ANYONE WHO COMES TO HIM WILL NEVER BE REJECTED.” ARE YOU WILLING? THIS IS YOUR CHOICE AND DECISION. WOULD DO IT NOW.
