This article is called, “CHRIST ONLY ALWAYS LIVING IN ME.” Now that is a real mouthful to say. But the meaning of that statement is much greater and harder to fulfill. It literally mean that Christ will be the desire of our life and control of our life. He will be the purpose and controller of all of our life. Dear Reader, who is willing to surrender and give total, complete control of your life to Jesus Christ? That is the question of the day. Christ only always, living in me. This should always be the desire of every true, born again Christian. A true born again Christian will have this desire, to serve God this way with 100% of his heart but the flesh and many things in life, do interfer with your desire. I believe the greatest thing that interfers is our own flesh.
HAVE WE FORGOTTEN WHAT JESUS PROMISED?
Dear Christian have we so easily forgotten what the Lord Promised all of His children right before He ascended back to heaven and left this earth? Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Did Jesus demand obedience to this command? Yes He did.
What else did Jesus tell His disciples and give instructions for them and us? Matthew 28:20 “20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” What else did Jesus promise and deliver to His children for their faith, life and practice? In John 16:7, Jesus tells his disciples, “It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you” (KJV)
The term “expedient” here means that it is for their benefit or advantage that Jesus leaves, because his physical presence must end, for the Holy Spirit to be sent . The Holy Spirit lives inside every born again Christian to lead and guide them. Holy Spirit serves as a source of strength, conviction, and guidance, especially during times of persecution or uncertainty, ensuring that the disciples are not left alone. Just as Jesus promised them and us. So what did Jesus say? Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
WOW THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN ETERNAL PROMISE. I guess the real question has to be, “Who has forsaken who?” AS the book of Hebrews chapter 13 shows us, The assurance “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” is given as the foundation for confidence in God’s continual presence and help. But what did Hebrews 13:6 say: “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Isaiah 41:10-13 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” WOW, I CAN DEPEND ON HIM.”
Isaiah 41:13 “For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Another great and precious promise from God. I can go on and on and own. B U T? B U T? where are the great and precious promises, that we have made to the Lord? Dear Reader, God is faithful and keeps all of His promises, but do we? How many times did troubles and heartaches drive you to you knees where you had to beg God for help, then made promises of what you would do, if only he would help you? But, what happened to those promises you made to God when the crisis was over? HUMMMMMMM Were your good intentions all that God received from you? PLEASE READ THIS VERSE THEN DIGEST IT THEN TELL ME WHAT IT MEANS.
Ecclesiastes 5:5 (KJV) says: “Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay” This verse is part of a broader teaching in Ecclesiastes 5, where Solomon warns against making hasty or rash promises to God. In verses 4–6, Solomon instructs that when you make a vow to God, you should not delay in fulfilling it, because God “hath no pleasure in fools”
One thing that has always bothered me is when I hear an individual say, “I SWEAR TO GOD.” I believe that is a very dangerous thing coming out of their mouth. First, I think you lose honor and trust, then you are invoking Gods’ name as your back up. Also, It’s better to be cautious and avoid making promises you cannot keep, rather than to make them and then fail, which can damage your reputation and relationship with God.
CONCLUSION
Dear Reader. God’s words are all authoritative and true, simply because of who He is, as the Bible says, Hebrews 6:13 “For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself.” When God made His promise to Abraham, there was no one greater than Himself to swear by. AMEN. The real question of this article is this: What promises or oaths have you sworn to in God’s name, or using Gods name? And another, what promises have you sworn to and not kept your promise or word to God? I do believe that God keeps a record of all broken promises or words in His name that has been broken. “DO YOU?”
Can you honestly say, CHRIST ONLY ALWAYS LIVING IN ME? I ask that question because a YES answer only, will get you from earth to heaven, and give you eternal life with Christ in heaven. I see and hear people just throw Gods name and Jesus name around any time they want and over anything they want. That includes anything vulgar or damning. If you can honestly say, “Christ only always living in me,” then you will not be using Gods name in vain, using it in a vulgar manner or using it in a damning manner. Understand this. If you are a true Christian that means God the Holy Spirit lives in you. He would instantly convict you of that sin, and instantly rebuke you.
John 16:8 teaches that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, revealing spiritual truth and guiding people toward repentance and salvation. The Spirit also convicts the world of righteousness, showing the standard of holiness required by God, exemplified in Jesus Christ. Revelation 20:11 “Each person will be held accountable for their response to Jesus, and the Spirit’s conviction serves as both a warning and a call to repentance, before the final judgment.”
Now listen closely. “John 16:8 emphasizes the Holy Spirit’s active role in convicting the world, making people aware of their spiritual condition, and guiding them toward truth, righteousness, and accountability before God.” If you live this way and the Holy Spirit of God does NOT convict you of sin, then you are not one of Gods children. John 16:8–11 tells us that God convicts everyone, all flesh with no exception. II Corinthians 13:5 “examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?” And Dear Reader this test determines your final destination for all eternity. Heaven is real and hell is real and both are eternal.
Someone is thinking I am talking only about cussing and vulgar words, they are bad enough. But they do show what is in a persons heart. Matthew 15:18, where Jesus teaches that “what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person” I am talking about a persons rejection of the work of God, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on a brutal bloody cross, for everyone’s sins and guilt. And I am talking about a rejection of the Holy Spirits conviction, in trying to bring you to God for Salvation and forgiveness in this world and the world to come.
Will you examine your own heart, mind and soul and see what is your priorities in your life, and where you stand with God. This will determine your very existence throughout all eternity. NO JOKE. Who or what is deceiving your mind? Quit listening to the world and start listening to God and His Word. And do not listen to the god of your own imagination-with it’s deception. Gods Word is Truth.
If you have come to God and Christ, and asked for forgiveness of sin, and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, please let me know in the comment section below, so that I can rejoice with you. And please enjoy this beautiful song. RAY
